In response to a formal request from Al-Bironi University, the Afghanistan Better World Organization (ABWO) has organized a comprehensive three-day family arbitration training program for 50 students enrolled in the university’s law and Sharia courses. The program was conducted from the 23rd to the 26th of the year of Saratan, providing participants with a robust understanding of this important legal and Islamic jurisprudential topic.
The first day of the educational program featured a lecture by Professor Noor Agha Shoaib, a renowned trainer from the ABWO. Professor Shoaib delved into the concept of family arbitration, exploring its foundations within the sources of jurisprudence and the applicable laws of the country.
He also provided insights into the process of handling such cases within the nation’s judicial system.
The second day was dedicated to examining hypothetical family dispute scenarios. Under the guidance of Mr. Shoaib, the students learned about the methods and techniques for resolving these conflicts through the practice of arbitration. This hands-on approach allowed the participants to apply the theoretical knowledge gained on the previous day.
The third and final day of the program was divided into two parts. In the first segment, the students of law and Sharia law were divided into four groups, each conducting a mock trial to put into practice the lessons they had learned over the preceding two days.
The second part of the day was reserved for the presentation of certificates to the participants.
The certificate distribution ceremony was presided over by the professors and heads of the law and Sharia faculties, who expressed their appreciation for the students’ efforts. Additionally, Mr. Noor Agha Shoaib, representing the ABWO presented a plaque of appreciation to acknowledge the support and cooperation of the Al-Bironi University administration in organizing this impactful educational program.
The professors and officials of Al-Bironi University expressed their delight at the successful implementation of the family arbitration training program. They requested the leadership of the ABWO to consider organizing more practical programs for the students of the university, a request that was positively received by the institute’s representatives.
This collaborative effort between Al-Bironi University and the ABWO has not only equipped the participating students with invaluable knowledge and skills in the field of family arbitration but has also strengthened the institutional partnership, paving the way for future joint educational initiatives that will empower the next generation of legal professionals in Afghanistan.
